The Lab: Crush on Plush!
The Lab: Crush on Plush! on Wednesday, June 25th from 6-8
Please join us in welcoming Kristen, Hansi, and Moxie to talk about the plush craft movement. Kristen runs Schmancy, curates Plush You, and published its corresponding book. Hansi makes the most darling knitted creatures and original patterns and Moxie ingeniously needle felts jewelry and monsters. These guests are successful in their artistic endeavors and actively participate in the craft community. They run their own businesses, frequent craft fairs, teach classes, write articles, and publish books. Please join us, featuring Kristen, Hansi, and Moxie, to discuss the state of plush, how to run a creative business, and learn how you can get involved in the craft movement, too.

Thank you to all that attended Velocity's first Lab! A great time was had by all. Thanks so much to Matte for being our first guest of honor. Next month's Lab will be on May 28th, and will be focused on Blogging In Seattle. It will feature some wonderful local bloggers who will lead a panel discussion about the art of blogging (the good, the bad, and the ugly).

The Lab: An Evening With Matte Stephens

Velocity Art And Design presents The Lab: a series of events at our South Lake Union showroom which will feature guests integral to shaping our landscape here in the Northwest and beyond, while helping to foster opportunities for creative thinking, networking, and inspiration.
The first event at The Lab will feature beloved artist Matte Stephens. Matte, his wife and a cadre of pets have recently relocated from Alabama to The Northwest. Matte is excited to be introduced to the creative community here in Seattle and to say thank you for all of your support for his artwork Matte and Velocity owner, John Tusher, will be on-hand to present stories about Matte’s life, being an independent artist, process, and inspiration. He will be available to answer questions from fellow artists and fans alike. Velocity will also have a drawing that evening for limited prints by Matte. New original works will be available for purchase at the store that evening.
Velocity would like to thank Dry Soda for providing refreshments, Paola Thomas of MirrorMirror for helping to inspire and organize The Lab events, and to Grace Bonney of Design Sponge. Her BizLady Meetup was the catalyst for realizing how necessary creative gatherings such as The Lab are to the vitality of our design community.

Velocity guarantees that all of our products are of the highest quality and made with the utmost care. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, please contact us for assistance.
DAMAGES OR DEFECTS
INSPECTION: Please inspect your items immediately upon receipt. Damage claims must be reported within 3 business days of receipt in order to process a proper claim. This is extremely important if items are not to be installed or used immediately. If you are working with a designer or contractor, please have them inspect items upon their arrival, and not upon installation.
Please contact us within 3 business days of receipt to report damages or defects. We will do our very best to promptly arrange a replacement or return if a claim is reported in this time period.
Damages do not require RMA#. Please call us at 1.866.781.9494 to discuss any damages or defects.
RETURNS
Proof of purchase is required to process any return. Items received after 30 days will be not be eligible for a store credit or return.
REFUNDS: Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt on all items (except upholstered furniture, floor models, sale items, discontinued items, and any shipping charges to the customer) for a full refund by the original type of payment used. Items must be received by Velocity no later than 14 days after original receipt of items. Items received from 14-30 days after original receipt will not be eligible for a refund, and will receive a store credit in the form of an online gift certificate. Items received after 30 days will be not be eligible for a store credit or return.
STORE CREDIT: Customers have up to 30 days to return items (except upholstered furniture, floor models, sale items, discontinued items, and any shipping charges to the customer) for store credit in the form of an online gift certificate. Items must be received by Velocity no later than 30 days after original receipt of items. Customers returning gifts, sale items, or those items purchased with gift certificates will be issued an online gift certificate for their return. Items received after 30 days will be not be eligible for a store credit or return.
PROCEDURE: All returns must include a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) and arrive to our warehouse in original condition with unopened original packaging. To receive a RMA#, please submit a return request by logging into your customer account. Find your order, click on “Create Return,” and fill in information regarding the items you wish to return in the designated section. You will receive return instructions, including your RMA #, shortly via email. For assistance, please contact Customer Care at 866-781-9494.
Please ship all returns fully insured to our warehouse with your RMA# clearly marked on the outside of the package:
